History
Garden of Eden Cemetery was established in 2005 to serve the Islamic Community in Minnesota as the cemetery in Roseville was filling. The cemetery was founded by 3 retired professionals, Amin Kader, Mohamed Elakkad and Ezzeddeen Taha, to benefit generations of Muslims to come. In 2008 they formed the Islamic Institute of MN just a few blocks from the cemetery to serve as both a local mosque and facility for Islamic funeral preparations.
The cemetery and facilities have remained the same since and, to this day, the cemetery has had over 2000 burials and continues to expand, creating more space for burials for years into the future.
