Costs for Burial

Cost of Standard Burial

The charges for burial total $6200 and includes:

  • Professional Services

    • 24/7 availability (we bury any day of the year)

    • Paperwork and permits

    • Coordinating every aspect of the burial process

    • Assisting in supporting the facilities used for the bathing and shrouding process

  • Transportation

    • This includes transportation to the mosque for washing and prayers, then to the cemetery for burial

  • Mosque Honorarium

    • The fee includes a donation to the mosque.

  • Burial Supplies

    • This includes a cloth-covered tray, kafan shroud for wrapping and other supplies

  • Grave

    • Each grave is used only for one person and will remain that way forever

  • Opening & Closing

    • This is the cost for digging the grave, then restoring and leveling the grass above it

  • Bottomless Graveliner

    • A graveliner protects the body during burial and when neighboring graves are dug

    • Delivery and installation of graveliner

  • Death Certificates

    • We include two (2) certified copies of the death certificates, more upon request

It does not include the grave marker/name on the grave. That must be purchased separately.

Graves may be purchased in advance for $1450.

Additional Costs

Other potential costs for burial:

  • Saturday/Sunday/Holiday Burial - $350/$800/$1300

  • Regular Overtime - $250/hour past 3:00 PM weekday, $300/hour past 3:00 PM weekend, no burials past 3:00 PM holiday

  • Escort to Cemetery - $400

  • Transportation to Additional Mosque - $300

  • Additional Death Certificates - $6 each additional copy

  • Grave Marker - Varies on selection. Please call (952) 890-9291 for an office appointment to design or to complete via mail/e-mail.

  • Additional mileage outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area - $3/mile one-way

    • Duluth - $400

    • St. Cloud, Rochester or Mankato - $200

Burial Assistance

We understand burial can be expensive and often times unexpected. While we do require payment prior to burial, we work with Hennepin and Dakota counties for assistance with a portion of the cost if the family is in need of assistance.

We must know prior to burial if the family wants to apply for assistance. Not notifying us beforehand could result in disqualification.
